Sub-Project Manager Development Mechanical Engineering

Project overview

We are looking for an experienced Sub-Project Manager Development (m/f/d) for our location in Darmstadt. In this role, you will be responsible for the development and evaluation of complex machine structures and mechanical assemblies, as well as the conception and constructive implementation of demanding components.

Your tasks include the creation of 3D CAD models, technical drawings, and specifications using Creo Parametric. You will select suitable materials and tolerances, maintain technical product data and bills of materials, and lead technical sub-projects with the functional coordination of interdisciplinary teams. Furthermore, you will coordinate technical requirements with various development areas, purchasing, and suppliers, and conduct technical analyses and concept evaluations. You will oversee prototype construction, testing, and design reviews.

For this position, you should have a completed degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a comparable field. You have several years of experience in the development of complex mechanical systems, ideally in semiconductor technology or special mechanical engineering. Profound knowledge of Creo Parametric, 3D CAD, and technical drawing creation is required. Experience with SAP for managing technical product data and bills of materials will complete your profile.

We expect competence in design for manufacturing and cost-optimized design, as well as in risk, concept, and interface management. Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken, are necessary. The position is to be filled on-site in Darmstadt.
