Senior Cloud & Container Platform Engineer

Responsibilities

• Installation, configuration, maintenance, and further development of a Kubernetes platform and associated infrastructure services.
• Automation of installations, configurations, and deployments via build pipelines.
• Development and maintenance of platform components with Golang and development of Kubernetes operators.
• Automation of the platform with Helm, Terraform, and Mage.
• Support of infrastructure services such as Keycloak, OpenSearch, RabbitMQ, Vault, Consul, and the Prometheus Stack.
• Further development of monitoring and automated tests for platform components.
• Development of concepts for platform and application security, service mesh, backup and recovery, and Argo CD.
• Collaboration within the Platform Engineering team for the operation of microservices and self-contained systems based on Spring Boot and Angular.

Requirements

Key Data

• More than five years of experience and very good knowledge of Kubernetes, Helm, and Docker or Podman.
• More than five years of experience with Continuous Integration, automation, and Git, as well as corresponding project experience.
• Two to five years of experience and very good knowledge in Golang as well as OpenID Connect and OAuth 2.0.
• Two to five years of experience and very good knowledge in platform and application security as well as in automated testing of platform components.
• Two to five years of experience and good knowledge of artifact repositories, monitoring, Linux, and platform architecture.
• Ideally, experience with OpenSearch, Keycloak, Service Mesh, Vault, Consul, RabbitMQ, and Terraform.
• Knowledge in the development of Kubernetes operators with Golang as well as with Kustomize, Kyverno, and microservice architectures is desirable.
• Initial experience with Tanzu, Tekton, and Artifactory is advantageous.
• Logical and structured thinking, strong communication skills, and pronounced teamwork ability.
