Supply Manager

Project overview

For an international company in the life sciences environment, we are looking for a motivated Supply Manager with experience in procurement, supply chain management, and maintaining SAP master data. In this role, you will ensure optimal material availability, efficient inventory turnover, high quality standards, and cost-effectiveness. You will also manage supplier relationships and maintain procurement master data in SAP R/3 and SAP S/4HANA.

You will work closely with internal departments and external suppliers, support global and local procurement processes, handle quality-related issues, and drive continuous process improvements to ensure a reliable and efficient material supply.

Responsibilities

• Optimization of material availability, inventory turnover, quality, and costs
• Maintenance and entry of procurement master data in the ERP system SAP R/3 and SAP S/4HANA
• Procurement and management of suppliers and product lines within the framework of global and local procurement and quality policies
• Coordination and communication with internal and external interfaces
• Processing and follow-up of Non-Conformity Reports and Corrective Actions
• Proactive identification and implementation of opportunities for process improvement
• Reliable contribution to achieving departmental and company goals
• Collaboration with relevant internal departments and external partners
• Ensuring structured and timely processing of assigned tasks
• Maintaining professional and partnership-based cooperation with suppliers
• Support with quality-related supplier issues according to Tecan specifications

• Completed commercial or technical vocational training, ideally with a focus on procurement, supply chain, logistics, or planning (MUST)
• Knowledge in operational or strategic procurement or planning (MUST)
• Further training in procurement, supply chain management, logistics, quality management, or SAP (DESIRABLE)
• 1-2 years of experience in operational or strategic procurement or planning (MUST)
• Experience in collaborating with suppliers and internal interfaces
• Good knowledge of SAP R/3 and/or SAP S/4HANA
• Experience in maintaining procurement master data as well as in change and article master data processes
• Basic understanding of quality processes, Non-Conformity Reports, and Corrective Actions (MUST)
• Experience with international supply chains and product lines (DESIRABLE)
