Project overview
For a long-term project environment in the field of critical railway infrastructure, we are looking for an experienced System Administrator for control technology or Communication Systems Engineer (m/f/d).
The focus is on the integration, commissioning, and support of control, communication, and network systems in the signal box environment.
Practical system experts with an IT technical background, commissioning experience, and a high willingness to travel are sought. Many years of signaling experience are not essential. Rather, technical understanding, independent work, and the willingness to take responsibility in safety-relevant infrastructure projects are the focus.

Responsibilities
Commissioning and integration of computer, operating, and communication systems in railway and signal box environments
Installation, configuration, and support of control technology, network, and communication systems
Configuration and administration of routers, switches, and other network components
Execution of system, integration, and functional tests in laboratory and project environments
Analysis of technical malfunctions as well as carrying out fault diagnosis and troubleshooting measures
Support during the commissioning of new signal boxes and communication solutions on-site
Ensuring stable communication between signal boxes, control centers, and other railway systems
Collaboration with project teams, development, customers, and technical departments
Documentation of commissioning, changes, test results, and technical adjustments
Ensuring the operational readiness of control, communication, and signal box systems
Requirements
Experience as a System Administrator, System Technician, Commissioning Engineer, or Systems Engineer
In-depth knowledge of Windows-based system landscapes, networks, or communication systems
Experience with routing, switching, and wired networks
Knowledge of fault analysis, troubleshooting, and technical testing procedures
Ideally, experience in the railway sector as well as in the environment of control and signaling technology, signal boxes, or train control systems
Experience with commissioning, integration, or laboratory environments
High willingness to travel for nationwide project assignments
Independent, structured, and solution-oriented way of working
