For the setup and operation of a cloud infrastructure in the public sector, we are looking for a System Engineer with deep experience in Kubernetes, Linux, and network administration. Hybrid with location in Cologne, deployments in the data center and at other locations. Start from 12.10.2026.

• Administer Kubernetes clusters and deploy platform components
• Manage Linux systems (network, troubleshooting, PXE boot, systemd)
• Configure and analyze networks (VLANs, routing, VXLAN/EVPN, BGP/OSPF)
• Maintain hardware and OOB interfaces (iLO, storage, HSM, switches, firewalls)
• Manage PKI and certificates
• Automate with Bash/Python and Ansible, monitor with Prometheus/Grafana
• Kubernetes and Linux administration (approx. 5 years each)
• Bash or Python scripting
• Networking Basics (switching, VLANs, subnetting, routing, DHCP, DNS, TLS) and Advanced (Cisco, VXLAN/EVPN, BGP, OSPF)
• Scrum and ITIL
• Willingness to travel to data centers and locations
• German citizenship, residence in Germany
• GCA Infrastructure Operator Training or GCA Deployment
• Data center hardware, PKI, Istio/Envoy
• Ansible, Prometheus, Cilium, Grafana/Loki, Terraform
• ServiceNow, Security Tooling (Nessus, Splunk)
