Seeking a System Engineer to operate, administer, and further develop a complex Microsoft Windows Server environment in an enterprise setting. The role involves ensuring stable operation, supporting 3rd level support, and managing the server lifecycle.

For one of our major clients, we are currently looking for support that meets the following requirements:

Responsibilities

Operation, administration, and further development of a complex Microsoft Windows Server landscape in an enterprise environment
Ensuring the stable operation of the server infrastructure and support in 3rd level support
Performing server lifecycle management, including installation, configuration, and commissioning of new systems
Planning and implementation of patch management, updates, and maintenance measures
Administration and further development of Microsoft 365 as well as Exchange Enterprise Clusters (On-Premises)
Support and optimization of existing backend systems and infrastructure components
Technical contact person for internal departments and IT colleagues

Requirements

Framework Parameters:

Several years of experience in the administration of complex Microsoft enterprise server environments with at least 200 to 400 virtual servers
Very good knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server and the operation of large on-premises infrastructures
Sound experience in patch management as well as in the maintenance and updating of server systems
Very good knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Exchange Enterprise, especially in the operation of on-premises clusters
Good understanding of IT infrastructures, backend systems, and backup solutions such as Veeam
Independent, structured, and self-responsible way of working
Ideally, experience with VMware and in security-critical, BSI-related, or regulated IT environments
Willingness to undergo a security check is an advantage
Location: Bonn, after an onboarding of 4 to 5 days on-site, up to 2 days per week are possible after team agreement
