Job description
Experienced Systems Engineer/Architect needed for the development of complex maritime navigation systems. The role involves stakeholder management, requirements analysis, system concept development, and lifecycle support.
Project overview
For our client, we are looking for an experienced Systems Engineer / System Architect for the development of complex systems in the maritime and nautical environment. The client is an established technology provider from Northern Germany that develops and produces professional navigation, control, and integrated bridge systems for ships. The technical environment includes, among others, radar, ECDIS, and Conning functionalities, navigation sensors, gyrocompass and course control systems, as well as complex system solutions where different hardware and software components are integrated into an overall system.
In the project, you will play a central role between stakeholders, systems engineering, and technical realization. You will analyze requirements, derive system requirements from them, develop system concepts and architectures, and support the system throughout its entire lifecycle. In addition to experience in systems engineering, software development, and model-based development, well-founded knowledge in the field of nautical science is explicitly important, as the technical interrelationships of maritime navigation systems must be understood and considered at the system level.
Work will be done with the client's existing tool landscape.
