We are looking for an experienced Team Lead for the operation and further development of highly available CMS and portal platforms, specifically Drupal and OpenText Web Site Management, for a leading IT service provider in public administration.

For a leading IT service provider in public administration, we are looking for an experienced Team Lead (m/f/d) for the operation and further development of highly available CMS and portal platforms. Drupal and OpenText Web Site Management (WSM) are used in particular in environments with more than 50,000 users.
Framework conditions
- Start: 02.10.2026
- Duration: initially 12 months with an option to extend up to a total of 4 years
- Full-time
- High remote share possible
Responsibilities
- Professional and organizational leadership of the CMS operations team
- Management of the operational business of Drupal or OpenText WSM
- Planning and further development of the CMS architecture
- Management of migrations, release changes, and infrastructure projects
- Integration of new technologies and cloud services (e.g., DAM solutions)
- Management of DevOps activities
- Performance and system monitoring (e.g., Grafana)
- Capacity planning and operational optimization
- Management of 2nd and 3rd level support processes
- Technical consulting for internal and external stakeholders
- Creation of architecture, operations, and security concepts
- Expansion of search technologies (Apache Solr, semantic search)
- Consideration of BSI security requirements and BFSG/accessibility

- Several years of experience in leading CMS or portal operations teams
- Very good knowledge of Drupal and/or OpenText WSM
- Experience with highly available enterprise platforms
- Knowledge of Linux, databases (Oracle, MySQL, MariaDB), and web servers
- Experience with DevOps, monitoring, and ITIL processes
- Knowledge of cloud integrations and DAM systems
- Experience in the public sector is an advantage
- German at least C1 level
