Description of the assignment/assistance

Digitalization and new innovative solutions in Helse Sør-Øst require a solid IT infrastructure. Sykehuspartner HF is building a common regional, modern, and secure IT infrastructure that meets the hospitals' needs for digitalization. At the same time, our service production is shifting from project to product.

HSØ general cloud, along with HSØ private cloud, is Helse Sør-Øst's common regional platform that will ensure Helse Sør-Øst and Sykehuspartner HF have the most modern IT infrastructure platform possible for delivering applications and services that support the hospitals' needs in the coming years.

Project common platform - HSØ general cloud has since January 2024 built and delivered a general cloud platform (HSØ general cloud) based on Microsoft Azure to the line organization. A team has been established in Sykehuspartner HF that owns, operates, and manages HSØ general cloud Azure, organized as a platform team according to Team Topologies.

The team's working method is agile, and Scrum is used as the method, including the use of Azure DevOps as a tool for tracking deliveries. Deliveries are divided into 'epic', 'feature', 'user story'.

The Team Lead shall lead the further development of HSØ general cloud Azure to handle a larger volume and complexity of services. The main focus is on the further development of the platform, but the team will also further develop the delivery model, policies, regulations, processes, and the FinOps function.

Experience and competence

• Team Lead Platform Team General Cloud Azure shall lead the development of Helse Sør-Øst's Azure platform as a product.
• The role is responsible for the team's deliveries, competence development, and collaboration with service and development teams.
• The Team Lead shall lead the work to establish a secure, robust, and user-friendly platform through a high degree of automation, standardization, and self-service, as well as further develop platform capabilities within Azure, AI, networking, and DevSecOps.

• Minimum 5 years of documented experience from large and complex IT environments with the establishment, operation, or further development of modern cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP, or equivalent)
• Minimum 3 years of documented experience with leadership of technical teams, platform teams, or product teams
• Documented experience with Azure platform services and the establishment of platform capabilities for development and operations environments
• Documented experience with agile working methods and continuous improvement work
• Experience with DevSecOps and automation of infrastructure through Infrastructure as Code
• Experience with collaboration between platform teams and product/development teams
• Good understanding of modern operating models based on self-service, standardization, and platform services
• Experience from organizations working according to Team Topologies principles or similar product-oriented organizational models
• Experience with product management or service management related to platform deliveries
• Experience with building and managing Azure landing zones
• Experience with security management and governance in Azure environments
• Experience with establishing CI/CD platforms and developer tools
• Relevant certification in Azure, DevOps, Agile, or leadership
• Experience from Sykehuspartner and/or Helse Sør Øst
