Tech Lead DevOps & Data Platform Cloud

Project overview

We are looking for a Tech Lead for a long-term assignment with our client in the banking/finance sector in the Paris region to lead the construction of an autonomous and governed cloud data platform, serving an investment banking business line. You will join a multi-year transformation program and guide technical and architectural choices.

Profile sought

You have at least 10 years of experience in data and cloud architecture, including at least 5 years in DevOps or SRE. You are proficient in AWS and Terraform, and have good knowledge of Azure (Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks). You have experience with Kubernetes, CI/CD (GitLab, GitHub Actions), and orchestration with Airflow or Dagster. A migration of an on-premise datalake to the cloud is a real plus, as is experience in investment banking. You have natural technical leadership, a passion for mentoring and documentation.

You know how to convince without hierarchical authority and translate business needs into technical solutions.

• Structure the DevOps foundation: AWS infrastructure described in Terraform (network, security, IAM), CI/CD pipelines, dev/staging/prod environments with versioning and rollback.
• Implement platform monitoring and observability, with controlled automated deployments.
• Design the data orchestration architecture (Airflow, Astronomer, Dagster) and ETL/ELT workflows.
• Deploy a data quality framework: controls integrated into pipelines, alerts, dashboards, and automated tests.
• Propose self-service tools, templates, and reusable patterns for teams that feed and consume data.
• Ensure governance and compliance: access control, encryption, traceability, data lineage.
• Train and support teams, and lead DevOps and data best practices.
