Seeking a Tech Lead for a long-term mission in the banking/finance sector to oversee the redesign of a quantitative index platform and cloud backtesting capabilities.
Project overview
We are looking for a Tech Lead for a long-term mission with our client in the banking/finance sector in the Paris region to lead the redesign of a quantitative index platform, at the heart of equity trading activities. You will work in an agile organization, interacting with front-office, quant, and infrastructure teams. You will lead a development team on a high-value subject: real-time index calculation and strategy simulation on high-frequency market data, in the cloud.

Profile sought
You have at least 8 years of experience in software development, including a minimum of 3 years in project or team leadership in a financial environment. You are proficient in C# and Python (microservices), React, AWS (S3, EMR, Athena, Redshift, EKS, MSK), Kafka, Redis, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD. You are familiar with quantitative indices, high-frequency market data (tick, TWAP, VWAP), and backtesting challenges. Experience with market data providers (Bloomberg, LSEG, or equivalent) is a plus. Leadership, arbitration skills, and good interpersonal skills with business stakeholders are essential.
BAC+5 degree or equivalent.

- Lead the technical and functional roadmap with stakeholders (business, quants, Product Owners).
- Lead the development team: agile ceremonies, backlog prioritization, progress tracking, risk management.
- Oversee the integration of the calculation engine designed by quants and the redesign of the React front-end, with REST API service exposure.
- Lead the AWS backtesting platform: historical data storage, distributed processing with Spark/EMR, querying via Athena or Redshift.
- Evolve monolithic applications towards a microservices architecture.
- Drive the migration to AWS (EKS, MSK) in Infrastructure as Code with Terraform.
- Ensure robustness, observability, and automated testing in CI/CD.
