Description

We are looking for an experienced Technical Project Lead to support complex product and technology initiatives within the automotive industry in Los Angeles, Ca. This Long-term Contract position is primarily onsite four days per week and focuses on guiding cross-functional teams from concept through delivery while ensuring solutions meet business goals and user expectations. The ideal candidate combines technical depth, strong project leadership, and the ability to translate stakeholder needs into clear plans, requirements, and execution strategies.

Responsibilities

Partner with product, engineering, UX, customer experience, and analytics teams to shape solution direction and confirm technical approaches support business objectives.

Convert business and feature needs into structured specifications, functional plans, and delivery-ready documentation for development and testing teams.

Lead initiatives across the full product lifecycle, coordinating activities from early planning through build, validation, deployment, and post-release follow-up.

Define project scope, maintain schedules, oversee priorities, and manage changes to keep deliverables aligned with timeline and objectives.

Provide consistent communication to team members and stakeholders, including progress updates, issue escalation, and decision tracking.

Guide day-to-day execution by removing blockers, supporting collaboration, and helping teams stay focused on quality outcomes.

Evaluate feature priorities by balancing user expectations, business value, and broader market considerations.

Monitor project financials and support budget-related planning to help maintain delivery within approved constraints.

Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.

At least 5 years of experience in a product leadership, technical project leadership, or comparable role with successful delivery outcomes.

Demonstrated experience managing products or technical solutions from initial concept through launch and ongoing enhancement.

Strong knowledge of software delivery practices, including Agile frameworks and cross-functional team collaboration.

Hands-on familiarity with tools and technologies such as Jira, Confluence, cloud platforms, Oracle databases, analytics tools, and modern software development environments.

Ability to create scalable processes, team practices, and delivery standards that improve performance and execution quality.

Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills across technical and non-technical groups.

Experience with project budgeting, planning, and tracking in a fast-paced delivery environment.
