Technical Writer (m/f/d) Automotive Engineering with a focus on SMC & CorelDRAW.

Responsibilities

Creation and maintenance of technical documentation for various product lines in commercial vehicle construction. Revision, updating, and customer-specific adaptation of existing operating, user, and maintenance manuals. Creation and editing of technical graphics, illustrations, and documentation layouts. Continuous documentation maintenance for several existing product and vehicle construction lines. Ensuring compliance with relevant standards, guidelines, and documentation standards. Close coordination with design, development, service, and product management.

Requirements

Several years of experience as a Technical Writer, ideally in mechanical or automotive engineering. Good knowledge of CorelDRAW for creating and editing technical graphics. Sound experience with SMC Smart Media Creator (SMC) for creating modular technical documentation. Experience in creating operating, user, and maintenance manuals. Technical understanding of complex machines, assemblies, and vehicles. Knowledge of relevant standards and machinery directives (e.g., Machinery Regulation, CE documentation). Experience in commercial vehicles, special vehicle construction, or trailer technology.

Basic knowledge in translation management and terminology maintenance.
