Technical Project Manager Software Implementation

Project overview

For a project in the public sector, we are looking for an experienced technical project manager (m/f/d) to manage and implement a new industry solution. The engagement is advertised on a part-time basis (4 days per week) with a 90% remote share and runs until the end of 2026 with an option for extension.

Your tasks include the technical planning and management of the software implementation, the development of the target architecture, and the coordination of all technical stakeholders. You will be responsible for system integration, data migration, and interface development. Furthermore, you will manage technical test management, release processes, and the transition to productive operation. You will evaluate technical solutions regarding scalability, security, and future viability and support project controlling.

We expect several years of experience as a technical project manager in the IT environment, ideally with a background in social insurance institutions or the public sector. Sound knowledge of software implementations, system integration, IT architectures (Cloud/On-Prem/Hybrid), as well as test management and quality assurance is required. A successfully completed degree with a focus on economics, computer science, or mathematics is necessary. Very good German language skills are mandatory.

You should have experience with complex IT architectures, APIs, data migration, security and operational concepts, as well as technical decision-making processes.
