Project overview

For our client, we are currently looking for a Sub-Project Manager Information Security & Transformation (m/f/d).

• 29.02.2028
• Utilization: 80-100% (1,950 hours planned)
• Location: Berlin (up to 50% remote possible by agreement)
• Industry: Public
• Prerequisites for project deployment:
• Willingness for an extended security check (SÜ2)
• German residency required

Responsibilities

• Project & Transformation Management: End-to-end responsibility for planning, resources, deadlines, budget, and risks; creation of management and status reports; leading steering meetings and workshops.
• Security Governance & Organization: Analysis and further development of roles, processes, and governance; definition of functional and organizational security and readiness criteria.
• Compliance, Evidence & Operations: Management of protection needs, security requirements, and regulatory evidence; quality assurance of security-relevant documents; transfer of results into regular operations.
• Interface Management: Close coordination with IT architecture, operations, data protection/compliance, as well as clients, authorities, and stakeholders.

• Project Management: Several years of experience with complex (sub-)projects in the field of information security, classified information protection, or security-critical IT.
• Technical Expertise: Sound know-how in security governance, security concepts, protection needs assessments, and regulatory evidence management.
• Change & Risk Management: Experience with transformation projects, interface, risk, and measure management.
• Languages & Work Style: Fluent German; structured, independent, and goal-oriented way of working.
• BSI IT-Grundschutz, classified information protection / VS-NfD environment, and GRC/data protection knowledge.
• Experience with security authorities/BSI or large migration programs.
• Tool knowledge: MS Project, Jira, Confluence, M365.
• Conceptualization and implementation strength, confident demeanor at management level, strong moderation skills, and high security awareness.
