For a client project, we are looking for experienced support in the following position:

Test Engineer – Test Automation / Java / API Testing

Responsibilities

Please note: Your application can only be considered if all requirements of the position are fully met.

• Planning, conception, execution, and documentation of manual and automated software tests
• Creation, further development, and maintenance of automated test cases using Java, Playwright, and Cucumber
• Execution of API, integration, system, and regression tests
• Creation and maintenance of test scenarios based on BDD and Gherkin
• Integration of automated tests into existing CI/CD build pipelines
• Analysis, documentation, and tracking of errors, as well as ensuring software quality
• Application of various test design methods for systematic test case design
• Close collaboration with development teams and other project stakeholders in an agile Scrum environment
• Use of AI-supported tools to support and optimize test processes

• Sound experience with Bruno, Playwright, Xray, and Cucumber
• Confident handling of Git / Bitbucket and build pipelines, especially Bamboo
• Practical knowledge of Jira and Confluence
• Experience with Oracle SQL and IntelliJ IDEA
• Knowledge in the use of AI-supported tools (e.g., AI Assistant)
• Sound experience with Scrum and agile working methods
• Practical knowledge of Behaviour Driven Development (BDD)
• Confident handling of multiple test design methods
• Experience with the Three-Amigos approach
• Sound knowledge of Java and Gherkin
• Very good German language skills (at least C1)
• At least 5 years of practical experience in software testing
• Of which at least 3 years of practical experience in test automation
• Good knowledge and practical experience in API testing
• Existing ISTQB certification
