Test Engineer – Banking & Financial Services

Project overview

For a project in the banking and financial services environment, we are looking for an experienced Test Engineer to support the quality assurance of software solutions. You will work in an agile project environment and bring sound experience in SQL-based testing activities as well as in handling XML technologies.

Your main tasks include analyzing document logic and deriving test cases for complex rules and data enrichments. You will conceptualize and implement an automated old/new comparison based on XML data streams and check content, layout, and output formats. Furthermore, you will create and maintain use-case-based test data and capture document triggers for time-controlled processes.

You will perform integration, end-to-end, performance, and mass data tests and check physical print outputs as well as digital output channels, including output control and job processing. Collaboration with development for error analysis and documentation, as well as supporting business departments in UAT, are also part of your responsibilities.

We expect very good knowledge of XML, XPath/XSLT, and SQL, as well as experience with large amounts of data. ISTQB Foundation Level or comparable qualification is required. Experience in agile teams (Scrum/SAFe) and an analytical, structured way of working are essential. German (C1) and fluent English are necessary.

The position is designed for 50%, hybrid with remote possibility within the region. Start is ASAP, contract duration until the end of 2027.
