Test Manager – Banking/ Test Coordination/SAFe Bern

Project / Role: For our client in the banking sector, we are looking for a Test Manager for the replacement of an existing Customer Communication Management system.

Responsibilities

• Develop and be responsible for the test strategy and test concept for the replacement of the existing CCM, especially the old/new comparison (production of documents with identical data streams on both systems).
• Plan, control, and monitor all test activities from conception to implementation, in close coordination with the Product Owner, Development, Architecture, and Business Departments.
• Define a solution approach for documents that cannot be triggered manually (e.g., reminders, month-end processing), for example, via simulation, time control, or batch test environments.
• Establish test data management with use-case-based test data (e.g., real estate financing) in compliance with data protection regulations.
• Coordinate test phases (Integration Test, End-to-End Test, Performance/Mass Test, UAT) and manage defect management.
• Provide transparent test reporting to project management and steering committees, and assess introduction readiness (Go/No-Go).

Role: Test Manager

• Experience as a Test Manager in the banking environment.
• Several years of experience as a Test Manager in large system replacement or migration projects.
• Training/Certificate ISTQB Advanced Level Test Manager or comparable.
• Good knowledge of the software development process in an agile environment (e.g., SAFe/Scrum).
• Strong skills in leadership, coordination, and communication with stakeholders from business, IT, and operations.
• Impeccable background check (no debt enforcement or criminal records).
• Experience in Output/CCM/Document Management Systems as well as knowledge in the area of Customer Communication Management / Output Management (e.g., OpenText Exstream, Quadient Inspire, Compart, Messagepoint or comparable) is an advantage.
• German – Very good knowledge (at least C1)
• English – Fluent in spoken and written word
