Project overview

The initial hiring period is until December 2026, with an option for extension. Within Toeslagen, several teams work using a Scrum/SAFe methodology to deliver business features. These teams consist of Designers, Builders, and Testers. The features they deliver are bundled into a Release. Toeslagen is looking for a Senior Agile Tester for one of its teams. As a Senior Agile Tester, you will contribute to the team's maturity and to structural improvement of our products. You will guide the team in improvements you identify and ensure that improvements persist after your departure.

Your activities include: Determining the test basis (partially); Defining test cases based on BDD and Specification by Example; Automating tests; Executing and analyzing manual and automated tests; Integrating test automation into the build pipeline; Analyzing and resolving failing tests or bugs during daily deployment and test cycles; Contributing to the test strategy of a component; Strengthening and promoting the test strategy across teams; Increasing the level of test automation; Actively participating in the department's test community for knowledge sharing.

Background: The Senior Agile Tester is part of a feature team responsible for developing and maintaining components within the Toeslagen application landscape. Within IBS Toeslagen, we work according to the principles of SAFe, Agile, and Scrum. This means, among other things, that the team is jointly responsible for the quality of the software to be delivered. For a Senior Agile Tester, this also means they can use Test Automation based on the Test Automation Pyramid.

Depending on knowledge and experience with the Test Automation Pyramid, this means understanding, knowledge, and experience with UI, API, and Unit testing. Furthermore, a Senior Agile Tester must be able to contribute at their level to the automation of the entire software development lifecycle (Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery).

Requirements

Only Dutch CVs will be considered, and candidates must speak Dutch perfectly. The assignment is less suitable for ZZP'ers due to the DBA law. Work experience as a Tester (5 years). Experience with Scrum / Agile working (3 years). Use of Test Frameworks like Specflow (3 years). Wishes: Extensive experience with Test Automation. Experience with testing in a SAFe/Agile environment. Experience with ISQTB and/or TMAP. Experience with Specification By Example. Flexible. Communicative. Results-oriented. Speaks and writes Dutch well. Competencies: Embraces change. Prioritizes quality over speed. Continuously improves.

Additional Information: When you, as a supplier, offer a professional to us and they are placed, we will need information from you as a contracting party, including regarding the Chain Liability Act (Wet keten- en inlenersaansprakelijkheid). The 'WKA' aims to prevent abuse in the remittance of payroll taxes at all links in the chain, from supplier to client. We cover these risks for our clients through an escrow account, the G-rekening. This is an account to which a portion of the invoice amount is deposited, from which you can pay payroll taxes and VAT to the Tax Authorities.

The percentage to be deposited depends on whether you have a SNA certification (NEN-4400-1 or NEN-4400-2) and whether your company is established in the Netherlands or abroad. You can apply for the G-rekening from the Tax Authorities. If you cannot obtain a G-rekening (and you can provide proof from the Tax Authorities), you also have the option to submit an assurance report regarding personnel lending every quarter. In this report, a certified accountant (AA or RA) will issue a statement on the correctness, completeness, and timeliness of the remittances.
