Project overview

For our client, we are looking for a freelance specialist for the development, technical specification, qualification, and further development of accessory components for copper-based telecommunications infrastructure.

You will support the "Special Technology and Passive Components – Passive Telecom Infrastructure & Energy" department. This involves elaborating technical requirements, evaluating components, and ensuring their quality and suitability through appropriate testing. Coordination with manufacturers, suppliers, and internal specialist departments is also part of this.

• Planned scope: 165 person-days
• Deployment: 150 person-days remote and 15 person-days on-site in Frankfurt am Main

• Independently create, review, and further develop technical requirements and specifications for telecom copper accessories
• Develop and technically evaluate solutions and components for passive copper-based telecom infrastructure
• Analyze existing components and derive technical and qualitative improvements
• Process customer and user requirements and translate them into technical product specifications
• Coordinate technical questions with manufacturers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
• Create and further develop test catalogs, test specifications, and acceptance criteria
• Plan, accompany, and evaluate product qualifications, functional tests, and release tests
• Assess products and solutions regarding function, quality, reliability, and suitability for the intended application area
• Accompany product qualification and release processes for passive telecom components
• Monitor relevant standards and technical regulations and derive necessary measures for product specifications and testing requirements from them
• Many years of in-depth professional experience in the planning, development, quality assurance, or product qualification of telecommunications or passive network infrastructure
• In-depth knowledge of passive telecom infrastructure and copper-based cabling and transmission components, including associated accessories
• Experience in creating, reviewing, and further developing technical specifications and requirements for passive telecom or network components
• Experience in product qualification, technical evaluation, and release of passive telecom or network components
• In-depth experience with test catalogs, test specifications, and acceptance criteria, as well as with conducting or accompanying technical tests
• Good knowledge of relevant standards and norms for passive telecom and network infrastructure, and experience in deriving technical requirements from standard developments
• Experience in technical coordination with manufacturers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders within the scope of product development and product qualification
• The ability to independently analyze complex technical issues and develop practice-oriented solutions for telecom components and accessories
• Experience in quality assurance, documentation, and technical acceptance processes in the telecommunications or network infrastructure environment
• Good German and English language skills for technical communication and documentation
