Travel Expert

Project overview

As a Travel Expert, you will advise an internationally active sports equipment manufacturer in the DACH region on optimizing their travel management organization, service provider structure, and expenses of around €20 million.

You will analyze the existing travel management organization and evaluate the current service provider.

You will benchmark prices, fee models, processes, and contract conditions.

You will compare alternative providers and support RFPs, contract extensions, and tenders.

You will support or lead negotiations with travel service providers and suppliers.

You will identify savings potential and prepare reliable decision-making bases for management, purchasing, and finance.

Requirements

For this advisory role, you need more than ten years of relevant experience in consulting, travel management, or strategic purchasing, as well as the ability to reliably evaluate market-appropriate deals and professionally prepare complex decisions.

You have several years of experience as a Senior Consultant, Advisory Consultant, or Project Manager.

You bring demonstrable expertise in travel management, procurement, tenders, and cost benchmarks.

You have comprehensive negotiation skills in dealing with service providers and suppliers.

You are familiar with travel policies, travel expense management, travel controlling, and travel spend optimization.

You speak German and English fluently and ideally have experience in the sports equipment, apparel, consumer goods, or travel management industry.
