• Operation, administration, and monitoring of the SAP system landscape regarding availability, performance, and stability.
• Client management, transport management, and job and batch control.
• Support of printers, spool, and output management.
• Installation and configuration of SAP systems and components, as well as execution of upgrades, release changes, and updates.
• Applying SAP Notes and Support Packages; planning and execution of maintenance windows.
• Administration of SAP HANA and MaxDB, as well as support for the associated Windows/Linux environments.
• Monitoring and optimization of SAP backup processes, as well as analysis and resolution of backup/restore incidents.
• Planning, execution, and documentation of system and database copies, as well as restore tests.
• Performance tuning, capacity planning, and system sizing in coordination with infrastructure.
• Support and monitoring of interfaces, as well as connection of external systems and cloud services.
• Implementation of security specifications, system hardening, and maintenance of security parameters, encryption, SSO, and certificates.
• Support for audits and revision requirements.
• Setup and further development of monitoring, alerting, and reporting, as well as automation of recurring tasks.
• Processing of incidents, service requests, and changes; error and root cause analysis.
• Technical support for S/4HANA transformations, migrations, and modernization projects.
• Planning and execution of system copies, cutovers, and technical project tasks.
• Operation and integration of SAP cloud solutions, as well as connection to on-premises systems.
• Consulting for business departments and creation of technical architecture, operation, and backup/recovery concepts.
• Creation, modification, and blocking of users, including technical, batch, and communication users.
• Assignment and revocation of roles and profiles according to the request process.
• Execution of regular user and role recertifications, as well as internal control system (IKS) measures.
• Conception, implementation, and maintenance of role-based authorization concepts using menu-based roles and SU24 proposal values.
• Role maintenance in PFCG, including authorization objects and field values.
• Harmonization and consolidation of the role landscape, as well as versioning, testing, and transport of roles.
• Further development of authorization and security concepts, as well as request, approval, and recertification processes.
• Identification and assessment of SoD conflicts; implementation of role changes and compensating controls.
• Use of SoD/compliance tools, e.g., GRC Access Control, IDM, or audit reports.
• Creation of policies, documentation, and reports, as well as support for internal and external audits.
• Consulting for business departments on role requirements and translation into technical authorizations.
• Coordination with module support, SAP Basis, and IT Security; sensitization of key users.
• Analysis of authorization errors with ST01, SU53, SUIM, and STAUTHTRACE.
• Support for tests, acceptances, rollouts, and system consolidations.
• Development of new roles, execution of mass changes, and creation of migration concepts, especially for S/4HANA and Fiori.
• Very good German and English skills, spoken and written; German at least C1 GER.
• Experience in creating and maintaining technical documentation and operating concepts.
• 2nd/3rd level support, including direct consultation via phone/Teams.
• At least 10 years of practical experience in SAP Basis.
• At least 5 years of practical experience each with Windows/Linux administration, HANA administration, and Backup/Restore, preferably Veeam.
• Experience with MaxDB, cloud systems, and on-premises interfaces, including BTP integration.
• Solid operational experience with complex SAP landscapes, including ERP, S/4HANA, BW, Portal, Solution Manager, and Web Dispatcher.
• Experience with SAP security, authentication, encryption, SNC/SSO, and certificates.
• At least 10 years of practical experience with SAP authorizations and audit-proof role and authorization concepts, including SoD conflicts and role processing with SU24.
