Urban Planner (interim)

Project overview

As an urban planner, you will work on various spatial issues within the municipality.

Profile of the suited interim professional:

• Developing urban planning visions, plans, and spatial concepts
• Translating policy goals into feasible and executable area developments
• Advising on spatial quality, liveability, climate adaptation, biodiversity, and mobility
• Assessing building initiatives and spatial plans in both urban and rural areas
• Providing input for the environmental vision, the environmental plan, and other spatial programs
• Conducting feasibility studies and spatial analyses
• Guiding and coordinating urban planning projects
• Advising management, government, and colleagues on complex spatial issues
• Participating in intake and environmental tables for integral assessment of initiatives
• Maintaining contact with residents, developers, consultancy firms, and other stakeholders
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Urban Planning or a comparable field
• Relevant work experience as an urban planner
• Demonstrable experience in drafting urban planning plans and advice
• Knowledge of software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator
• Strong skills in both oral and written communication
• Political and administrative sensitivity
• Experience in project-based and integral collaboration
• Persuasiveness, creative ability, and a focus on results
