UX Designer (m/f/d) User Guidance, Mobile Usability and Accessibility, Remote

Dear Sir or Madam,

We are looking for a UX Designer (m/f/d) with expertise in user guidance, mobile usability, and accessibility for one of our clients on short notice.

Responsibilities

• Analysis of the existing booking process using the test environment, documentation, and expert feedback
• Documentation of the complete screen sequence for desktop and mobile devices
• Evaluation of information architecture, user guidance, and causes for incorrect bookings, drop-offs, and unnecessary contact form usage
• Review of tiles, input fields, buttons, and error, information, and mandatory field communication
• Measurement and optimization of mobile scrolling paths, and evaluation of screen breaks and accessibility of UI elements
• Alignment of all measures with the mandatory design library; documentation of limitations, necessary deviations, and compliant alternatives
• Creation of a target design as a clickable prototype or screen sequence for desktop and mobile devices
• Prioritization of measures by impact and effort, and assessment of implementability in the Angular frontend
• Ensuring that all optimization suggestions consider accessibility requirements
• Creation of the results documentation for Confluence, final presentation, and handover of all prototype source files

• At least four years of experience working with mandatory design libraries, design systems, or pattern libraries
• Several years of experience in UX design for high-traffic web interfaces
• At least four years of demonstrable experience with mobile-oriented and responsive design concepts
• Knowledge of accessibility requirements for administrative applications according to BITV 2.0
• Ability to structure and elaborate design concepts in such a way that development teams can directly translate them into actionable user stories
• Experience in the public sector is an advantage

Project Background:

Support is sought for the analysis and optimization of digital appointment booking for an existing online portal. The goal is to improve user guidance, reduce unnecessary transitions to contact forms, and make the booking process clearer on mobile devices. The focus is on information architecture, the recognizability of user interface elements, and understandable error and information messages. Based on a mandatory design library and considering accessibility, a prioritized optimization concept and a target design for desktop and mobile devices are to be created.
