A leading bank is looking for a Migration Support Engineer to join their Virtual Desktop Infrastructure and App Volumes Packaging team on a long-term contract basis where they will lead and assist with the VDI migration issues within EMEA.

*Hybrid working - based in the Chester office 3 days per week*

Job Title: VDI Migration Support Engineer

• Provide end user & user migration support ensuring application quality and performance through QA & UAT testing of Golden Image.
• Handle deployment tasks, manage user access, and troubleshoot application issues.
• Optimize infrastructure with cluster rebalancing, manage change requests, and support user migrations to ensure smooth transitions.
• Hands-on virtual desktop, virtual Servers and virtual desktop infrastructure Experience (VDI)
• MUST HAVE Experience working on a non-persistent migration project
• MUST HAVE Experience working with VMware Omnissa Horizon (ideally) or Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops
• In-depth knowledge of VMware, including vCenter (VC), Horizon Cloud Service (HCS), Application Virtualization Manager (AVM), vSAN, and Network File System (NFS)
• Ability to execute pre-built PowerShell scripts
• Experience working in a large user-base environment
• Banking experience ideally
