For a project in industrial steel construction, we are looking for an experienced welding engineer on a freelance basis.

• Conducting welding and supplier audits, as well as evaluating and developing suppliers
• Quality assurance of welded steel components, including initial sample approvals and component releases
• Technical responsibility in the field of non-destructive testing (NDT)
• Accompanying customer projects, certifications, and third-party acceptances
• Support with quality management systems according to ISO 9001, ISO 3834-2, and EN 1090
• Optimization of welding, testing, and production processes
• Qualification as a welding engineer (IWE/SFI)
• Several years of experience in industrial steel construction or quality management
• Sound knowledge of relevant welding standards and quality standards
• Ideally DIN EN ISO 9712 Level 2 in VT, PT, MT, and/or UT
• Experience with supplier audits and quality assurance
• Good English skills and occasional willingness to travel
