Windows Server Admin for Virtualization CPAT

Project overview

We are looking for a Windows Server Admin with a focus on virtualization for one of our clients.

This is a freelance project that starts ASAP and has a duration until December 2027, with an option for extension.

The role involves 2 days/week onsite in Vienna, 3 days/week remote office. The client prefers candidates residing in or around Vienna.

Responsibilities

• Virtualization, administration, operation & monitoring of the Microsoft Server environment
• Implementation of software as well as its distribution and maintenance, deployment and patch management of Windows servers
• Accurate documentation
• 2nd and 3rd level support

Requirements

• Completed education in the IT field (University, FH, HTL)
• Very good knowledge in server virtualization: VMware
• Good & current knowledge of Windows Server *)
• Good general basic infrastructure knowledge: server hardware, software, network, storage
• Very good experience with PowerShell scripting and automation techniques
• Team player, independent work, flexibility and willingness to change, good manners
• confident demeanor, strong communication skills
• Very good German language skills (min. C1)
