with a regular weekly working time of 39 hours (100%). Remuneration is based on the collective agreement for the public sector (Bund); depending on qualifications, classification up to pay group TVoD E 13 is envisaged. The position is suitable for part-time work and is initially limited until December 31, 2029. GWDG aims for long-term cooperation.

The Gesellschaft für wissenschaftliche Datenverarbeitung mbH Göttingen (GWDG) is the university computer center of the Georg August University Göttingen and a computing and IT competence center for the Max Planck Society. Providing high-performance computing systems (HPC) has been one of its tasks for over 40 years. In 2020, the University of Göttingen/GWDG was included as one of eight computing centers in the National High-Performance Computing Network (NHR). GWDG operates the HLRN-IV system "Emmy", one of the most powerful computers in the world.

As a national supercomputing center, GWDG offers technical support to researchers and students from various scientific fields who use demanding computing programs, including in the areas of Earth system sciences, life sciences, and engineering sciences. Furthermore, we participate in national and international research projects. At the same time, we aim to further deepen our close cooperation with the German Aerospace Center (DLR) as well as with specialized computing centers such as the German Climate Computing Center (DKRZ) and the Jülich Supercomputing Centre (IAS-JSC).

As part of our AI Service Center for Sensitive and Critical Infrastructure (KISSKI), we have developed a range of AI-based services that offer a high degree of security and data protection, as processing takes place on our own hardware.
