As part of the RegioWIN lighthouse project "Zukunftsforum Oberkochen," an innovative knowledge, transfer, and meeting place for sustainable innovations in wood construction, bioeconomy, and green tech is being created.

Responsibilities

As a Wood Construction Scout, you will play a central role in building and further developing a regional network around innovative wood construction and sustainable building methods. You will act as an interface between administration, business, science, crafts, and the public. Your tasks include in particular:

• Building, coordinating, and maintaining a regional network along the wood value chain
• Initiating and supporting collaborations between companies, municipalities, universities, and other stakeholders
• Conceptualizing and conducting events, workshops, construction site tours, and dialogue formats
• Mediating innovative developments in wood construction and supporting knowledge transfer into practice
• Participating in the strategic further development of the Zukunftsforum Oberkochen
• Developing communication and public relations formats for sustainable construction
• Supporting municipal strategies and guidelines in the areas of wood construction and climate protection
• Exchanging and networking with nationwide initiatives and programs in the field of wood construction
• Supporting the development of new approaches, projects, and regional innovation clusters

Requirements

We are looking for a dedicated, communicative, and structured personality with an interest in sustainable construction and regional development. You ideally have:

Professional experience in a municipal environment or in funding projects is an advantage.

About the Zukunftsforum Oberkochen:

The Zukunftsforum Oberkochen emerged from a partnership between the City of Oberkochen and the Ostalb district, as well as several other stakeholders from science and business. The building will be realized as a demonstrator building by the University of Stuttgart in the coming years and will bring novel resource-saving wood construction systems into practical application for the first time. The goal is to strengthen the innovative power and sustainability of the Ostwürttemberg region in the long term.

• A completed university degree in architecture, civil engineering, wood construction, urban planning, sustainability management, regional development, or a comparable field of study
• Knowledge or interest in the areas of wood construction, sustainable construction, or circular economy
• Experience in project management as well as in organizing and moderating networks and events
• Strong communication and networking skills
• Independent, structured, and solution-oriented way of working
• Confident demeanor towards administration, companies, research institutions, and the public
• Very good German language skills, both written and spoken
