Experienced Workplace Engineer needed for a client in Baden (AG) to ensure the stable operation of a modern workplace infrastructure. Responsibilities include managing Dell devices, endpoint management, and supporting various operating systems and VDI environments.
Project overview
Task
For a client in Baden (AG), we are looking for an experienced Workplace Engineer (100%) starting immediately. In this versatile role, you will be responsible for the stable operation of the modern workplace infrastructure. You will work in a professional IT environment with current technologies and take on demanding tasks in client and endpoint management.
Responsibilities
A personnel security check will be carried out for this project assignment. An impeccable record (criminal and debt collection register) is mandatory for this.
It is possible to invoice via your own GmbH or AG based in Switzerland. Otherwise, you will be on the payroll of IQ PLUS AG during the project assignment.
- Support and administration of Dell desktops, laptops, and Wyse Thin Clients
- Endpoint management with ManageEngine Endpoint Central
- Execution of patching, software distribution, and configuration management
- Administration and support of Windows 11, Windows Server 2022, and Active Directory
- Support and assistance for the VMware Horizon VDI environment
- Use and administration of Trend Micro, Veeam, and Microsoft App Volumes
- Support in the operation of network services, especially InfoBlox / DDI
- Analysis and resolution of technical faults, as well as ensuring stable IT operations
Requirements
Project duration
31.03.2027 (option to extend)
- Completed IT education (EFZ, HF, FH) or comparable qualification
- Several years of experience as a Workplace Engineer, System Engineer, or Client Engineer
- Sound knowledge of Windows 11, Windows Server, and Active Directory
- Practical experience with endpoint management solutions, ideally ManageEngine Endpoint Central
- Experience with software distribution, patch management, and client configuration
- Knowledge of VMware Horizon VDI and Thin Client environments is an advantage
- Experience with Trend Micro, Veeam, Microsoft App Volumes, or InfoBlox / DDI is an advantage
- No entries in the criminal or debt collection register
- Very good German and good English skills
