For a rapidly growing engineering company in the rail technology sector, we are looking for an Authorization Engineer. In this position, you will support exciting projects related to the authorization and approval of rail vehicles, making an important contribution to the safe and compliant commissioning of modern rail systems.

Framework Conditions

• Position: Authorization Engineer
• Start: Immediately
• Contract Duration: 12 months with option for permanent employment
• Location: Wolfenbüttel
• Workload: Full-time / 40h week

Responsibilities

• Coordination and management of authorization and approval processes in the rail vehicle sector
• Planning and tracking of required evidence and coordination with project participants
• Organization of external examinations, assessments, and technical evidence
• Interface management between customers, authorities, appraisers, and internal departments
• Participation in the creation and maintenance of technical documentation for authorization procedures
• Support in the preparation and accompaniment of audits, tests, and vehicle trials
• Analysis of regulatory requirements and implementation of relevant specifications in ongoing projects
• Support of projects throughout the entire authorization process

• Completed degree in rail vehicle technology, electrical engineering, mechatronics, traffic engineering, or a comparable technical qualification
• Professional experience in the authorization environment of rail vehicles or rail technology systems
• Knowledge of relevant European and national regulations in the railway sector
• Good understanding of vehicle and system technology in the rail sector
• Structured and self-reliant way of working
• Strong communication and coordination skills
• Confident use of common office applications
• Very good German skills and good English skills, both written and spoken
• Willingness for occasional business trips
