For a fast-growing engineering company in the rail technology sector, we are looking for an Approval Engineer for Rail Vehicles (m/f/d). In this position, you will support exciting projects related to the approval and authorization of rail vehicles, making an important contribution to the safe and compliant commissioning of modern rail systems.

Framework Conditions

• Position: Approval Engineer for Rail Vehicles (m/f/d)
• Start: Immediately
• Contract Duration: 12 months with option for extension
• Location: Wolfenbüttel
• Workload: Full-time / 40h week

Responsibilities

• Coordination and management of approval and authorization processes in the field of rail vehicles
• Planning and tracking of required evidence and coordination with project stakeholders
• Organization of external tests, assessments, and technical evidence
• Interface management between customers, authorities, experts, and internal departments
• Participation in the creation and maintenance of technical documentation for approval procedures
• Support in the preparation and accompaniment of audits, tests, and vehicle trials
• Analysis of regulatory requirements and implementation of relevant specifications in ongoing projects
• Support of projects throughout the entire approval process

• Completed degree in Rail Vehicle Technology, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Traffic Engineering, or a comparable technical qualification
• Professional experience in the approval environment of rail vehicles or rail technology systems
• Knowledge of relevant European and national regulations in the railway sector
• Good understanding of vehicle and system technology in the rail sector
• Structured and self-reliant way of working
• Strong communication and coordination skills
• Confident use of common office applications
• Very good German and good English skills, both written and spoken
• Willingness to undertake occasional business trips
