Coach/Senior Environmental Permit Officer (Secondment)

Project overview

As a coach/senior permit officer, you will strengthen the quality and continuity within the Environmental Permits cluster.

Profile of the suited interim professional:

• Advising on complex environmental permits and processing extensive applications yourself
• Directing integral advice and monitoring the quality and progress of decision-making
• Bringing overview, structure, and coherence to complex, multidisciplinary projects
• Guiding colleagues with practical advice and coaching based on case studies
• Transferring subject-matter expertise and stimulating independent problem-solving among employees
• Setting priorities and making decisions for timely and legally sound dossier handling
• Acting with political-administrative and environmental sensitivity in sensitive dossiers
• Identifying risks and communicating carefully with initiators, administrators, and external partners
• Collaborating with the team leader and quality officer on process improvement and professionalization of the cluster
• Completed education at a minimum HBO bachelor's level in a construction-related field
• At least 5 years of work experience in the role of senior permit officer, including handling complex and multiple permit applications.
• At least 2 years of experience in managing, coaching, and further developing colleagues within permit processing, VTH (Enforcement, Monitoring, and Legal Affairs), or a comparable field.
• ABW 1 and ABW 2 diplomas (desired)
• Work experience with the application of the Environmental Act and related legislation and regulations for complex permit applications (desired)
• Work experience with CLO (Centric Leefomgeving) in the past 6 years (desired)
• Experience in coordinating complex permit procedures and multidisciplinary projects with various stakeholders (desired)
• Experience in advising on politically and administratively sensitive dossiers within a municipal organization (desired)
