Project overview
Job Description
For this assignment, as a coordinator, you will carry out a recovery action with the absence expert team of the M&O department. You will be involved in the daily process management of predefined absence files. You ensure that files are handled promptly and according to the agreed procedure and monitor progress. When actions are not taken or files stagnate, you will actively manage this and escalate where necessary. You will also be a sparring partner for the absence expert team.
You will periodically inform management about the progress, identify relevant developments, and prepare clear management reports that provide insight and direction for further actions.
The main elements in this role are:
Management and progress: maintains an overview of all files falling under the recovery action.
Organization and facilitation: together with the support staff, ensures a workable schedule for the absence expert team and necessary meetings.
Identification and escalation: timely identifies when actions are not taken or files stagnate.
Monitoring and reporting: keeps the progress and results of the recovery action transparent.
The self-management model remains the starting point. The coordinator does not take over the substantive responsibility for individual absence files.
The assignment is explicitly temporary. During its duration, the development of the backlog, the progress of the files, and the extent to which the procedure is embedded in the regular process will be periodically reviewed. Towards the end of the six months, it will be determined whether an extension of a maximum of three months is necessary. The assignment ends as soon as the backlog has been sufficiently reduced and the remaining tasks can be handled within the regular process.
Department Description
The M&O department consists of the following tasks: Capacity Management, Attractive Employer Branding, and Leadership & Strategy. People & Organization develops as a strategic partner in realizing the IND's ambitions. M&O does this from a framework-setting, coordinating, and facilitating (policy, planning, and execution) role; actual management takes place from the line. By investing in people, leadership, and organizational development, M&O strengthens the organization's ability to adapt to societal developments and changing tasks.
This way, we ensure that talent can develop, employees remain engaged, collaborate with pleasure, and the IND has the knowledge, skills, and agility needed, now and in the future.
Team M&O
Sustainable Employability helps employees to work healthily, motivated, and with pleasure, and to retain them for the organization, now and in the future. We connect themes such as health, vitality, career development, diversity and inclusion, work experience, and a safe working environment into one coherent and data-driven approach. In this way, we build a people- and results-oriented organization together where everyone can thrive and where it is pleasant to work.
Within the Sustainable Employability team, the translation of organizational objectives into the necessary HR policy and instruments takes place, among other things. When developing policy and instruments, the frameworks from the Central Government and Justice & Security are taken into account.
