Advise, standardize Data Cloud usage, and deploy Snowflake architecture for a major client.
As part of structuring and accelerating Data Cloud usage within the IT department, we are looking for a certified Data Engineer & Snowflake Expert. Your role will be strategic, technical, and normative: you will provide expert advice to define and disseminate best practices for standardizing data usage, while designing, automating, and industrializing data pipelines and the group's Snowflake foundation.
Your Future Environment
You will work at the heart of the Data & Analytics unit, in close collaboration with Data Architects, DevOps/DataOps engineers, governance teams, and business Data Engineers. In a modern Cloud environment focused on performance and cost optimization, you will be the key point of contact for the Snowflake ecosystem. You will work on a hybrid schedule (3 days per week at the client site), with planned on-call duties (HNO) to ensure the continuity of critical data flows.
Your Key Missions
Data Consulting, Standardization & Governance (CONSULTING & ARCHITECTURE Mode):
Data Engineering, DataOps & Industrialization (BUILD & IMPLEMENTATION Mode):
- Advise and support IT and business teams in standardizing data usage around Snowflake (naming conventions, modeling best practices, RBAC security rules).
- Define access governance, role management, sensitive data masking policy, and the organization of databases/schemas/Virtual Warehouses.
- Establish and manage performance and cost optimization initiatives (Snowflake FinOps: fine-grained credit consumption management, auto-suspend, auto-resume, clustering keys).
- Write best practice guides, technical architecture documentation, and lead data acculturation workshops for the teams.
- Design, develop, and industrialize efficient and scalable data pipelines (using dbt, Airflow, Python, SQL).
- Implement advanced Snowflake features (Snowpipe, Streams & Tasks, Time Travel, Data Sharing, Zero-Copy Clone).
- Automate the deployment and management of Snowflake infrastructure according to DataOps / CI/CD principles (using Terraform or dedicated IaC tools).
- Ensure the Maintenance in Operational Conditions (MCO) of the platform and intervene during planned on-call duties (HNO) to secure production.
