Functional Architect D2C / Web & Marketplaces

Project overview

As part of international projects in the retail/consumer goods sector, we are looking for a Functional Architect D2C / Web & Marketplaces to work on Web and Marketplaces initiatives.

The mission notably focuses on defining a new Marketplace architecture in Europe in the context of a change of aggregator, as well as aligning Marketplace initiatives deployed outside Europe.

The architect will participate in the RFP, the selection of the aggregator, and its implementation in the European ecosystem. Outside Europe, they will ensure the correct application of architecture principles defined at the Group level.

For the Web scope, they will design local D2C architectures, taking into account the architecture principles of the core model, the Group ecosystem, and local specificities.

Responsibilities

The mission involves close collaboration with numerous IT and business stakeholders: integration teams, e-commerce and Marketplaces Business Analysts, architects, business teams, regional IT managers, security, and infrastructure.

Profile sought

We are looking for an experienced Functional Architect in D2C, Web, and Marketplaces, capable of having a global vision while integrating the specific constraints of different markets.

Essential skills:

Knowledge of Adobe and Shopify is a plus.

Expected qualities:

• Frame online D2C initiatives with the Project Manager.
• Define the existing architecture and the target architecture.
• Formalize architecture principles as well as impacts and dependencies.
• Define and explain solution and integration choices.
• Model the data and information flows necessary for the solutions.
• Produce the various architecture deliverables.
• Produce the Architecture Book and ensure its validation during Architecture Boards.
• Produce the Security Passport.
• Participate in the Architecture community and contribute to sharing best practices.
• Ensure the consistency of local architectures with global architecture principles.
• Take into account local constraints and specificities, particularly payment methods and tax regulations.
• Very good business and functional understanding of online D2C capabilities.
• Confirmed experience with Marketplaces and their integration.
• Web / e-commerce experience required.
• Solid understanding of integration issues and APIs.
• Mastery of data and information flow modeling.
• Ability to define an existing and target architecture.
• Ability to formalize architecture principles, impacts, and dependencies.
• Understanding of architectures integrating international and local constraints.
• Ability to work with business, e-commerce, integration, architecture, security, and infrastructure teams.
