Interim Manager Board & Communication (secondment)

Project overview

As interim manager, you will lead the Board & Communication process within the water board's management team.

Profile of the suited interim professional:

• Manage the communication team of approximately 15 professionals
• Coach employees and stimulate ownership and development
• Further develop the Board & Communication process together with the Board Support team manager
• Advise on strategic communication and positioning for complex issues
• Participate in management team meetings and contribute to organization-wide decision-making
• Monitor priorities and align team efforts with strategic ambitions
• Support colleagues with politically sensitive files and ensure careful decision-making
• Represent the Board & Communication process within the management team
• Academic working and thinking level, for example in public administration or strategic communication
• Extensive integral management experience in a complex, governmental organization
• Experience in leading and guiding professionals in a changing context
• Proven experience in strategic communication and positioning
• Political sensitivity and ability to switch between strategic, tactical, and operational levels
• Visible, connecting personality with natural authority
• Coaching and accessible leadership style with decisiveness
• Ability to bring focus and get professionals moving
