For our end client DJI, Harvey Nash is looking for a Project Manager.

Responsibilities

Ensures a proper handover to the management organization upon completion of the project.

During the term of the contract, you may also be deployed on similar assignments if there is an opportunity. The Transport and Support Service (DV&O) is a national service of the Judicial Institutions Service (DJI) and provides a wide range of different services to chain partners in the security domain. The DV&O Training Planning Application project aims to realize a planning application for planning training courses and participant registrations so that business value is delivered: deployable employees are trained, scheduled, and planned in an efficient and flexible manner.

DV&O is an organization with branches throughout the country with a head office in Assen. A large part of the project work is expected to be carried out on location.

Function requirements

The proposed candidate has at least a completed university degree.

The proposed candidate possesses a Prince2 and/or Agile Scrum certificate.

The proposed candidate has at least four (4) years of work experience within the (semi) government.

The proposed candidate has at least eight (8) years of experience with ICT Projects.

Additional knowledge:

Knowledge of complex ICT applications, preferably planning applications, is necessary, as is understanding how business and IT work together in this and recognizing and anticipating where resistance arises. Experience with large-scale implementation is necessary. You are a senior in this line of work. You also have experience with agile working.

• Manages the setup and control of the project team in the various phases (preparation, initiation, procurement, realization, implementation, and closure);
• Is responsible for the periodic adjustment of business cases, project proposals, and the preparation of periodic reports;
• Directs and coordinates the control of the quality of project information and reports on this to the management of the Information Provision Directorate, the client, and steering committees;
• Manages the supplier carrying out the execution work;
• Ensures that the quality requirements of the delivered products are met (regarding functionality, privacy, information security, etc.);
• You are decisive and can lead and shape inspiringly;
• You are customer-oriented, pragmatic, flexible, and results-oriented;

Function

You are responsible for leading projects focused on the realization and implementation (introduction and safeguarding) of IT/ICT facilities for secondary and primary processes. This always relates to strategic policy or objectives. You will have regular contact with other directorates and departments within DJI and you are able to create connections between information provision and the DJI organization. In this environment, you are able to maintain an overview and bring structure.

You have demonstrable experience with project-based and process-oriented work, managing suppliers, the realization and implementation of new IT/ICT facilities, and you possess good organizational and communication skills.

Together with a team, you contribute to achieving the goals of the Information Provision Directorate and contribute to cross-departmental developments. You promote collaboration within and outside the team. You know how to set priorities, bring structure, and promote teamwork. Finally, you maintain contact with users and suppliers and manage the suppliers who carry out the work.
