QA Engineer — Checkout Flows × Automation

Ever"T — Tech consulting firm, AI-native, innovative, and hyper-growing — is looking for a freelance QA Engineer specializing in checkout flows.

The context

You will join a product squad of about twenty people (developers, business analysts, QA, operations managers) who design and maintain the checkout solutions used daily at points of sale by thousands of users.

The subject is simple to state and formidable to maintain: every transaction must go through, from the first scan to the receipt, regardless of the payment method, the promotion applied, the fallback mode, or the terminal used. A regression here is not seen on a dashboard — it is seen at the checkout.

Your mission

• Design, execute, and maintain manual functional testing campaigns on checkout flows: sales, multi-payment methods, discounts and promotions, returns and credits, cash closing, fallback modes.
• Write test cases and data sets based on specifications and discussions with BAs and operations managers.
• Qualify, document, and track defects until their resolution, in direct contact with developers.
• Participate in acceptance testing phases, non-regression testing before production deployment, and testing on real hardware (terminals, peripherals).
• Contribute to scaling up QA automation: identify flows to automate, build the first scripts, and stabilize the foundation.
• Explore and implement the contribution of AI to the testing chain: generation and enrichment of test cases, creation of data sets, analysis of logs and execution results, prioritization of non-regression campaigns.
