Youth and Family Coach

Project overview

As a Youth and Family Coach, you support parents, educators, and young people with questions about parenting and growing up.

You work for the municipalities of Bergen, Uitgeest, Castricum, and Heiloo, focusing on the family's needs, with the goal of strengthening the self-reliance and independence of young people and their parents/guardians. You offer accessible, short-term support to children and families and encourage the use of their own network and the possibilities within their social environment.

Werkorganisatie BUCH is a collaboration of the municipalities of Bergen, Uitgeest, Castricum, and Heiloo. The organization performs administrative tasks for these municipalities focused on societal issues such as housing, climate, and finance. Werkorganisatie BUCH also takes care of policy development, implementation, supervision, and enforcement.

• Minimum HBO work and thinking level
• Registration in the quality register SKJ and/or BIG register
• Demonstrable experience with outpatient support for young people and families in their home situation
• Knowledge of the Code of Conduct for Domestic Violence and Child Abuse
• Knowledge of relevant methodologies such as One Family One Plan, Eigen Kracht, Signs of Safety, or similar solution-focused approaches
• In possession of a B driver's license and own transportation
• Willingness to perform tasks occasionally outside regular office hours
• Available to be present on location at least 3 days a week
• Preferably supplemented with an IAG (Intensive Family Guidance) training
• You have experience within municipal organizations or community-based youth care
• You have experience with complex family systems
• You have knowledge of various areas of focus such as autism, ADHD, giftedness, mild intellectual disability (LVB), trauma, and grief
