Responsibilities

• Initial diagnosis, structured error analysis, and independent processing of support cases in 1st and 2nd level
• Troubleshooting of POS systems, clients, operating systems, peripherals, and technical interfaces
• Remote support for users and clear communication on status, workarounds, and next steps
• Installation, configuration, and testing of standardized hardware and software components within the defined support scope
• Identification, documentation, and application of solutions and workarounds
• Qualified escalation to internal specialists, 3rd level support, manufacturers, or technology partners, and follow-up until resolution
• Complete and traceable documentation of all analysis, communication, and solution steps in the service management system
• Recognition of recurring error patterns and support in problem analysis as well as in deriving sustainable improvements
• Analysis of log data to identify anomalies
• Technical support for rollouts and other changes in the POS environment
• Collaboration with Service Desk, internal IT teams, business units, locations, and external partners

Requirements

• Sound experience in operational IT support in 1st and/or 2nd level
• Experience with POS systems, retail IT, or networked retail environments
• Good knowledge in structured error analysis and technical troubleshooting
• Practical experience with Windows clients, standard software, peripherals, and network fundamentals
• Understanding of incident, service request, and escalation processes
• Good documentation skills and careful ticket management
• Very good German and good English skills, spoken and written
