Accountant (m/f/d)

Project overview

We are looking for an experienced accountant (m/f/d) for our location in Wiesbaden. In this role, you will be responsible for the preparation of monthly, semi-annual, and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB, as well as for asset accounting and the accounting of inventories and provisions.

Your tasks include processing VAT returns, preparing tax returns, and creating statutory statistics and reports for authorities. You will develop business analyses and key figures using Excel, including pivot analyses and Power Query. Furthermore, you will support and further develop the accounting software and assist with digitalization projects in accounting as well as process optimizations.

You will work closely with internal departments, tax advisors, and auditors.

Requirements

The position is to be filled on-site in Wiesbaden.

• Completed commercial apprenticeship with further training as a certified accountant or a degree in business administration with a focus on accounting
• Several years of experience in accounting in an industrial company, particularly with HGB financial statements
• Sound knowledge of financial and accounting, as well as VAT law
• Very good Excel skills (pivot analyses, Power Query desirable)
• Experience in the technical support of accounting software
• Practical experience with digital processes in the finance department
• Knowledge of preparing statutory reports
