Project overview

The contract advisor supports the contract management team of PPO West Nederland Zuid - A Vaarwegen in the fixed maintenance of movable objects and related activities.

Profile of the suited interim professional:

• Providing expertise on contract management for fixed maintenance of movable objects (bridges and locks) and dredging activities
• Reviewing and processing changes in contract documents
• Identifying and analyzing contractual risks and deviations from standard RWS contract documents
• Advising the project team on the assessment of work packages and contractor plans
• Supporting the organization with contractual issues and monitoring the quality of the tender file
• Guiding the execution of the contract and ensuring compliance with contractual requirements
• Processing and recording malfunctions and defects, in coordination with the Engineering discipline
• Coordinating activities with internal and external stakeholders, such as CBT members and contractors
• Advising on process improvement through the application of the PDCA cycle
• Minimum of two years of knowledge and work experience in the Civil Engineering and Infrastructure sector
• Technical or business administration education at HBO work and thinking level
• Minimum of two years of experience with contract management within execution contracts such as performance contracts, D&C and/or E&C contracts
• At least two years of experience in the regular maintenance of bridges and locks
• Knowledge of standard maintenance for movable objects is a plus
• Knowledge of contract management for calamities, damage handling, and malfunctions is a plus
• Knowledge of Systems Engineering and the use of Relatics/GRIP is a plus
