Gemeente Utrecht is the local point of contact for the government for residents, entrepreneurs, and social organizations. In this position, Gemeente Utrecht connects public contact with projects that shape the municipality for years to come. The work package of Gemeente Utrecht ranges from citizen services, service provision, and supervision of local regulations to programs concerning housing, mobility, and sustainability, and care, youth, and support for participation.

To carry out these diverse tasks carefully, Gemeente Utrecht brings together subject-matter expert teams with functions for finance, information management, HR, and administrative advice. Within Gemeente Utrecht, the municipal council establishes the most important municipal choices through resolutions and budgets.

• The candidate has HBO+ or WO work and thinking level and 8 years of experience with civil engineering structures such as quays, bridges, and viaducts
• The candidate has at least 5 years of demonstrable work experience as a medior design leader for civil projects, having gone through the design process, tendering, and realization
• The candidate has knowledge of the other roles involved in preparing and executing a structural civil engineering project
• The candidate has demonstrable skills in technical project management and project-based work in complex projects in an administrative environment
• The candidate can express themselves well in word and writing in Dutch
• The candidate has demonstrable experience with the Standaard RAW system
• The candidate works well under the leadership of a senior advisor or technical manager
• The candidate can collaborate
• The candidate is results-oriented and knows his or her responsibilities
• The candidate can work under (time) pressure

• The screening, including the pre-employment screening and the VOG (Certificate of Conduct), must be completed before the candidate may start
