Advisor Newcomers (interim)

Project overview

As an advisor for newcomers within the Housing and Asylum team, you will help shape the education and daytime activities for newcomer children.

Profile of the suited interim professional:

• Advising on the asylum task and education for newcomers, including drafting official and administrative proposals and letters to the council
• Supporting and processing subsidy applications
• Identifying developments within newcomer education and translating them into concrete measures
• Developing a vision for newcomer education, also in relation to housing and progression to further education
• Acting as the first point of contact and sparring partner for issues concerning newcomer education
• Connecting the municipality, reception locations, social organizations, and the education sector
• Preparing administrative meetings and decision-making, including planning and recording
• Maintaining contact as account manager for ISK, ITK, ROC Airport, and Nova College
• Quickly responding to acute situations and resolving bottlenecks
• Minimum HBO bachelor's work and thinking level
• At least 3 years of experience as a policy advisor focused on newcomer education and refugee reception within a municipal environment
• Experience and affinity with policy development and advice on this dossier
• Strong communication skills and environmental sensitivity
• Ability to connect internal and external parties
