Job description
We are looking for an Agentic-Coding Test Automation Engineer with experience in Web & Mobile, Device Cloud, and OOP for a client project starting December 2026. The role is primarily remote with a small on-site component in Bonn.
Project overview
For our client, we are looking for an Agentic-Coding Test Automation Engineer (m/f/d) Web & Mobile, Device Cloud & OOP from 12/2026 for an estimated duration until 12/2027 with the option for long-term extension. The position is planned for full-time. The work will be mostly remote and approximately 5% on-site in Bonn.
Important: Only project experience from the last 5 years can be considered for evaluation.
Responsibilities
- Setup and further development of automated end-to-end tests with WebdriverIO for Web, Android, and iOS using an AI-first approach: AI agents support the development, analysis, and maintenance of tests
- Development of tests in TypeScript for automatic verification of test cases
- A significant quality criterion is adherence to the Software Engineering Framework
- Creation of test cases, derived from business requirements with AI support
- Development of supporting scripts in TypeScript for end-to-end tests
- Integration of test automation into existing GitLab CI/CD pipelines
Requirements
- 6 months of experience in programming with Agentic Coding (Claude Code or Codex)
- 1 year of experience in executing and stabilizing tests on real devices and browsers in a Device Cloud as well as locally on emulators and simulators (e.g., LambdaTest, BrowserStack, Sauce Labs)
- 3 years of experience using test frameworks (Selenium or Appium or Playwright)
- 3 years of experience in developing test automation in native apps and browsers (Web, iOS, and Android)
- 5 years of experience in Object-Oriented Programming (Abstraction, Inheritance, Encapsulation, Polymorphism)
- 3 years of experience with container technologies
- 3 years of experience with Gitlab or Github
- 5 years of experience with Git
- 5 years of experience with Scrum or Kanban, Definition of Ready / Done, and acceptance criteria
- Completed degree or training in IT
- Very good German language skills, written and spoken (C2)
