AI Control Tower Developer (ServiceNow)

Project overview

For our client, we are looking for a ServiceNow AI Control Tower Developer. The role is needed for the design, implementation, and maintenance of the configuration and integration of the ServiceNow AI Control Tower (AICT) to centrally capture, control, and monitor AI systems, models, agents, and use cases.

Area of Responsibility

• Configuration and extension of AICT: Inventory of AI assets, onboarding of use cases, assessments, approval workflows, and dashboards
• Configuration of AI connections via Service Graph Connectors, registration of AI Gateway/MCP servers, and
• if necessary
• customer-specific integrations using REST/IntegrationHub; ensuring CMDB population according to IRE/CSDM standards
• Development of governance workflows for risk classification, policy checks, compliance mapping (e.g., EU AI Act, ISO 42001, internal policies), and lifecycle approvals
• Connection of AICT to GRC/IRM, CMDB, Strategic Portfolio Management, and Security Operations
• Creation of reports, performance analyses, and dashboards for management (Executive Dashboards) on AI portfolio, risks, and added value
• Application of platform best practices: Scoped Apps, Update Sets or Source Control, ACLs, performance optimization, and upgrade-safe customizations
• Creation of technical documentation and handover to operations and support teams
• Collaboration with Platform Advisors, Architects, and the client's stakeholders responsible for AI governance and compliance

Requirements

Desirable Qualifications

Framework Conditions:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in ServiceNow development (JavaScript, Flow Designer, Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Builder, or Service Portal)
• Profound knowledge of CMDB, data modeling, and ServiceNow integration patterns
• Understanding of AI/ML concepts, the AI lifecycle, and principles of Responsible AI
• Practical knowledge of GRC/IRM concepts
• Fluent English and German language skills
• Certification as ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) and/or Certified System Administrator (CSA)
• Experience with GRC/IRM, Now Assist, or AI agents
• Familiarity with AI regulations and frameworks (EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF, ISO/IEC 42001)
• Experience in agile project execution (Scrum, SAFe)
• Analytical thinking, structured problem-solving,
• careful documentation methods,
• communication with stakeholders, and the ability to translate regulatory requirements into platform configurations.
