AI Platform Architect Position at our client from the Transportation industry in Bern.

Responsibilities

• Develop a pragmatic, staged, and implementation-oriented architecture vision and co-design the overarching AI architecture.
• Develop and further develop architectural concepts, architectural principles, target images, and decision-making bases.
• Document and communicate the architecture appropriately to management, architecture, platform, and implementation teams.
• Translate the overarching architecture into concrete organizational and technical requirements for platforms and shared services.
• Specify shared services, including functional and non-functional requirements, and support their evaluation.
• Support the creation, prioritization, and coordination of an implementable architecture roadmap and accompany implementation activities.
• At least 8 years of experience in IT architecture, including proven experience with AI/GenAI architectures in large organizations.
• Profound understanding of LLMs, RAG, agentic systems, and protocols such as MCP or A2A, as well as their risks.
• Experience with Security-by-Design, Identity & Access Management, data classification, and Zero Trust approaches.
• Experience with capability-based architecture, AI governance, regulatory requirements, and economic evaluation of architectural decisions.
• German fluent, English good.
• Language skills: German
• Strategic and analytical thinking with strong conceptual skills.
• Clear and stakeholder-appropriate communication across different stakeholder groups.
• Structured, solution-oriented, and cooperative way of working.
