Project overview
Android Engineer | London, 3 days onsite | Up to £430/day (Inside IR35) | 12-month contract
I'm working with a global tech business whose mobile apps are used by millions of people, and they need an Android Engineer to join on a 12-month contract.
It's hands-on Kotlin work in a properly modern stack. You'll build features people actually use, and help bring older parts of the codebase up to date along the way.
What you'll be doing:
Building and shipping Android features used by millions of people around the world
Working closely with design, product and QA to turn ideas into polished, fast features
Modernising and refactoring Legacy code while keeping performance sharp
Writing clean, well-tested code with solid CI/CD behind it
What they're looking for:
Strong commercial Kotlin and Jetpack experience
MVI or another modern architecture pattern
Coroutines, Flow or RxJava
Testing with Espresso and JUnit, plus CI/CD (GitHub Actions or CircleCI)
