API and Integration Developer

Project overview

We are looking for an experienced API and Integration Developer for our team at the Frankfurt location. In this role, you will develop and maintain REST endpoints using modern cloud technologies and help shape our company's digital infrastructure.

Your responsibilities include the development and maintenance of REST APIs on AWS platforms, particularly with API Gateway and Lambda-based architectures. You will conceptualize and design API endpoints according to defined standards, implement role-based security concepts, and create OpenAPI/Swagger specifications. Furthermore, you will be responsible for integrating distributed backend systems, developing cloud-native microservices, and containerized deployments on Kubernetes. You will optimize CI/CD pipelines, implement monitoring and logging concepts, and perform automated tests.

For this position, you should have a completed degree in computer science or a comparable qualification. You have in-depth experience in REST API development on AWS, very good knowledge of Java 21, Spring Boot, and AWS API Gateway, as well as practical knowledge of OpenAPI specifications. Security aspects such as JWT-based authentication and least privilege principles are familiar to you. You have experience with monitoring tools, CI/CD pipelines in GitLab, code analysis tools, and container operation on Kubernetes (AWS EKS).

Knowledge of cloud-native architectures and Infrastructure-as-Code will round off your profile. Very good German language skills, both written and spoken, are required.
